Letters written to his wife and a diary describing his activities during the war, including campaigns in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, and particularly the battles around Atlanta in 1864. The collection also includes Van Antwerp's muster rolls and appointments, a portrait (1880s), and transcriptions of the letters edited by Anthony Davenport.
